The Web 2.0 platforms are usually described as social/community platforms and/or portals, but it is not always the case. Their most common thing is the ability for the users to contribute to the content on the site, hence the term: User Generated Content (UGC). From the technology point of view (in most cases), the UGC is is created by allowing other users to access the same tools that the company running the site is using, such as blogs, photo galleries, video galleries etc.
At CEI, we are using tools and solutions that support and engage the UGC to the sites that we build. We tend to find the right way of using those tools so that the users would like to visit the site and register and want to spend as much as time as possible on the site. Keeping the interest of the users on the site as much as possible has to be in the line with the site´s business and goals and has to result financial outcome, with sales of products, services or advertising.
Some of our most important tools that we use for the web 2.0 platforms are:
- Profile Designer / Builder, tool that allows the user to modify and control the look and feel of its page.
- Photo Galleries, module that also includes a crop feature so the photos can all have same dimensions if needed, to keep the design in a good shape. Compatible with all browsers and operating systems.
- Video Galleries and video upload and conversion, allows the users to upload videos and convert them from any format that they like.
- Audio / Video Editing Tools / Online Mashup , video editing tool that allows users to mix audio, video and images into one file that they can export to other social networks and websites like widgets including an export for YouTube in one single file.
- Audio/Video Streaming, server and user side of streaming, including podcasts, videos and other formats. Custom players and statistic gathering is also included. Widgets for other social networks are also available.
- User’s Interactivity, where users can talk to each other, leave comments and have online video conversations at any time. Ideal for online dating or entertainment live shows.
- Online Video Contests, allowing the administrator to select jurors and advertisers (sponsors) and launch video contests fully managed or unmanaged by the administrator, or a combination of both, depending on the administrator's decisions.

All of the modules described above are tools and solution that are originally designed and build by CEI. They are not a modification of any existing open-source or other 3rd party product.
They are completely flexible and can be integrated into any platform and business to completely satisfy the goals. If you have other questions and comments please do not hesitate to contact us.
The Web 3.0 solutions are still new on the It market and not yet fully defined. Some experts make the distinction based on the technology that is used, other based on its usage these days. We see it as a place / portal / environment where the web 2.0 creates some kind of product / service or accomplishes something more that just interaction between the users. That interaction can be a new audio-visual content (song or webisode), or a new product (custom designed skate-board which was made by combining parts offered by different users on the portal or even talk shows that users create together based on their common interest. Building a web 2.0 around a certain need or purpose that results in something tangible or non-tangible is our vision for the beginning of the web 3.0. And technology has a huge impact.
CEI is involving its resources in creating solutions that will support the future of the web 3.0 where users will take the lead to create something online together with other users. in the Entertainment, Law, Health or even in the Education.
Those Products and Solutions are coming soon.
Search Engine Optimization is a way to improve the website’s visibility to the users that are trying to search for a specific keyword. For example SEO will enable your site to appear in the top 10 on Google search.
SEO works in two main ways:
- Onsite SEO is where the SEO coding optimizes the website so the search engines can read and save all of the content, called Onsite SEO.
- Offsite SEO is the term for how the SEO coding makes the website (and its content) viewable on other websites so the search engine increase the site’s rank and popularity.
By employing both Onsite and Offsite SEO, we present dual information to search engines which causes them to believe that your site should retain a higher rating than other sites presenting the same content in search results.
We write all our pages with organic SEO and SMM coding, a proven method to increase traffic to your site.
If you would like more information about how we include SEO and SMM coding in your site build, please contact us.
SMM is a complex internet marketing strategy that promotes the certain web 2.0 or web 3.0 brand or portal (social network) and creates marketing campaigns online for launching and improving the website´s popularity among the users and the targeted communities.
For Example:
…”having top 10 traffic on Alexa”…
The SMM can also be consisted of two different parts:
- the one that creates content campaign on the site using the portal´s features to its maximum, (which can be named) Onsite SMM and,
- the one that promotes the portal´s content and functionality all over the internet using a very precise strategic campaign and makes the portal´s content be presented on other websites to other users attracting them to the portal, (and can be named) Offsite SMM
CEI is using all of the methods of SEO and SMM in order to improve the impact of its portals and platforms.
